2013-2014 Senior Reps

Chelsea Design & Photography is kicking off its Senior Rep Program and you could be one of its spokesmodels for the class of 2013! If you’re not familiar with a senior rep program, its a way for seniors to have a fabulous FREE senior portrait session with the opportunity to earn additional discounts on prints and products, just by helping me get more clients through referrals.

HOW IT WORKS:
You complete a 1-2 hour senior portrait session with me – up to 3 clothing changes in various locations. A few days after the shoot you will receive some “senior rep cards” that will have a photos from your session on the front, and my contact information on the back. Its basically like your own personal business card. For each person you refer, that books and completes a session with me, you will receive additional discounts and credits towards your print order. The more you refer the more you receive. It’s like having a really fun part-time job and you get back what you put in!!

**Referral must present the senior representative’s referral card and referral must have completed their session for credit to occur.**

WHAT YOU GET:
•  FREE on-location 1.5hr session tailored to you!  •  10 Watermarked images for you to use on Facebook  ••  50 Rep Cards with photos from your session to pass out to friends and family  ••  10% off print and product orders  •  Opportunity to earn more FREE prints and products  •

HOW TO APPLY:
Send an email with your NAME, AGE, CITY, SCHOOL and a short paragraph to explain why you think you would be a good candidate to represent Chelsea Design & Photography to Chelsea at:  chelseadesigndfw@gmail.com

I feel as though I have yet to discover the full creative potential of Instagrams.

But, I can say that I have enjoyed what this app does to my pictures :)

Follow me if you Instagram! (I am not entirely sure how you follow me, either...)

PhotoLove

I am LOVING my new venture into Photography. It has been such a joy spending time with families and doing something that makes my heart smile. I wish I had discovered this love sooner in life!

I couldn't not share these next few smiles right now...
How sweet are these faces?!?

Just going through this family's images is making me smile; it was a really fun family session.

Haley and Kate just had me laughing the whole time!

Holiday Cards

The Smith Family Christmas Card - Front

Along with photographing families, I get to design Christmas Cards, too! It is a great way for me to use my love for designing and my love for people together. I do all of the designs custom to the images and the desires of my clients.

There is still time to book a session and have your family pictures taken! Call or email me today!

Fun with Football & My Camera

Cameron has been playing football this fall and is somewhat loving it. I, on the other hand, have been loving the opportunity to get out my big camera and take some fun shots of Cameron, his buddies and the siblings that collect at the games and practices. Below is just a small selection of my many favorites.

Cameron, my very own handsome football player.

3 Month Old Campbell!

So, I do realize I just posted Campbell's 1 week old photographs (summertime = less computer time.) Well, precious Campbell has grown so much!

He is now 3 months old and has the most gorgeous blue eyes. I took these images today and I just couldn't wait to share!

He was SO sweet and snuggley!

Big brother, Bennett, had to get in on the action, too! After spending all that time inside watching lil' brother get his picture taken, we decided to head over to the park to play on the swings.

The swings are definitely Bennett's favorite!

Sweet Baby Campbell

I had the incredible privileged of photographing a one-week old recently. It was a pure joy. To be able to capture those sweet moments that the parents will cherish forever was an honor, indeed.

Meet Campbell.

... and his brother Bennett.

After our little photo session, I got to put together a sweet announcement for Campbell's arrival. I have a little thing for black & white (if you couldn't tell). I wanted to keep it simple & elegant with only a hint of the baby blue.

A Beautiful Reminder

I was looking through some older posts from another blog attempt of mine and I came across this little piece of gold. Some photographs i had taken and a poem i wrote to go along with them.

We have had some horrendous weather here in the South lately and I am reminded of God's provision in our lives and how it doesn't always look like rainbows. In God's mercy, He allows us to weather storms so that we may come out on the other side changed, cleansed and ready for new growth. A rainy day with Him is 1,000 times better than a sunny day without Him.

My heart and prayers go out to the families and areas affected by the tornadoes.

What was once dry and wanting
Rejoices in the sky's bountiful gift

What was once hidden by dust and weeds
Graciously accepts nature's cleansing shower

What was once aching for life
Stretches out under God's nurturing hand

The empty are filled
The dirty are cleansed
The needy are not left wanting

A beautiful reminder
From a late summer rain

Life dictates Art

I think it may be time to combine my Life with my Design; the two are so intertwined anyway. So, for now Chelsea Design DFW will be just that, a combination of posts that include what I have been designing and how I have been living life. Plus, i just don't have the time or patience to keep up with two blogs! :)

In honor of this switch, i will leave you with a lovely photo of one of my favorite "life" things, food! Chocolate s'mores cupcakes to be exact. SO yummy! I made them for Cameron's birthday last year and took them up to his class. It literally makes others love you. The little children were all chanting my name, "Cameron's Mom, Cameron's Mom!"... all because of this sweet treat!

I did this?? (photography edition)

I got a new camera this year and have been taking thousands of images! However, only once and a while am I sincerely surprised by the outcome. I love learning.
